Building the Mantis Brand – Strategic Design for a Forward-Thinking Team

Mantis is a team of sharp, strategic professionals working at the intersection of business innovation and audience insight. With a growing presence in their space, they needed more than just a logo, they needed a brand identity that could scale with their ideas, unify their messaging, and clearly reflect their approach.

As a creative marketing partner, I worked with Team Mantis to shape a cohesive, modern brand identity that communicated who they are, who they serve, and how they think.

The Challenge

The Mantis team had strong values and a sharp focus on understanding their market, but their visual identity lacked consistency. They needed branding that could align with their innovative approach, appeal to clients and partners, and bring clarity to their communications.

My role was to create a brand experience that would:

  • Provide visual assets that support both internal and external communication

To bring Mantis’s vision to life, I delivered a full creative suite that combined strategy, storytelling, and design.

Logo Design and Brand Identity

The logo design needed to be clean, modern, and subtly nod to the team’s strategic agility and analytical mindset. I developed a hand-drawn logo that reflected precision, adaptability, and confidence, paired with a refined color palette and typography for a versatile, professional look.

Custom Persona Illustrations

To help Mantis visualize and share their audience research, I created a series of custom illustrations representing key market personas. These weren’t generic icons, they were crafted to be memorable, human-centered visuals that brought data to life and added depth to presentations, pitches, and internal workshops.

Professional Photography

I directed and captured photography that reflects the team’s personality and professionalism, including team portraits and behind-the-scenes working shots. The goal was to help audiences connect with the people behind the brand and to give the website and marketing materials a more approachable, authentic feel.

Branded Merchandise

To extend the brand physically, I designed a set of branded merchandise, including apparel and office accessories. These items helped reinforce brand pride internally and gave Mantis a polished presence at events, workshops, and client meetings.

The Outcome

Mantis emerged with a cohesive visual identity and versatile creative assets that matched the strength of their ideas. With a distinct logo, thoughtful illustrations, compelling photography, and branded collateral, they’re now equipped to present themselves consistently across every touchpoint.
