Growing the Luna Noëlle Jewelry Brand from the Ground Up

There’s something incredibly fulfilling about bringing a brand to life from a blank canvas; no logo, no assets, just a vision. One of my favorite recent projects was Luna Noëlle, a jewelry brand that started as an idea and grew into a fully formed digital presence with a clear voice, aesthetic, and identity. I had the opportunity to lead the entire creative direction, from brand identity to photography to e-commerce and social media, and I’m excited to share a look behind the scenes.

The Vision

The founders came to me with a desire to create a jewelry brand that wasn’t just another jewelry label; it was a story waiting to be told through design, texture, and celestial energy. From the start, Luna Noëlle was envisioned as a jewelry brand for the spiritually curious, nature-connected, moon-gazing soul. Think: hand-carved turquoise, crescent moons, custom astrological engravings. The founder wanted to create something that honored ancient symbols, natural materials, and personal meaning without losing the simplicity that modern consumers crave. My role was to bring that vision to life in a way that felt cohesive, intentional, and instantly recognizable.

Crafting the Brand Identity

I began by crafting the name Luna Noëlle, a soft, lyrical combination that evokes moonlight and mysticism. The visual identity centered around a minimalist crescent moon logo paired with earthy, organic typography. Everything needed to feel handmade but clean, soulful but not overly mystical.

The color palette drew from nature: warm sand, aged brass, deep forest green, and of course, vibrant turquoise. These tones reflected both the materials in the jewelry and the spirit of the women wearing it: wild, grounded, and in tune with something bigger.

Designing the Website

The website needed to mirror the handmade beauty of the jewelry itself. I designed a Shopify site that felt clean and calming, with generous white space and editorial-style layouts. Features included:

  • Soft scroll animations and natural textures to add depth
  • Large, immersive product photos with custom engraving options
  • A journal-style blog section for astrology insights and maker stories
  • Intuitive navigation, with a focus on discovery and storytelling

The overall experience was designed to slow users down, encouraging them to browse, connect, and choose pieces that held meaning.

Capturing Product Images

Photography played a huge role in communicating the Luna Noëlle vibe. I directed and shot both product and lifestyle images, with an emphasis on natural light, earthy props (like raw crystals, driftwood, linen), and subtle shadow play.

The styling was intentionally simple: hands in sunlight, stone backdrops, delicate chains resting on collarbones. The goal was to feel personal, intimate, and real, like you were holding the piece in your own hands.

Building a Social Presence

On social media, Luna Noëlle needed to be more than pretty. It had to create a community. I developed a content strategy that balanced beauty with storytelling, including:

  • Curated feeds with consistent, muted tones and natural textures
  • Astrology-based content aligned with lunar cycles and zodiac seasons
  • Engaging captions rooted in self-reflection, intention-setting, and slow living
  • Launch countdowns and behind-the-scenes videos to foster connection

The result was an audience that didn’t just like the jewelry, they felt connected to the brand.

The Outcome

Within just weeks of launching, Luna Noëlle had a small but passionate customer base and steady organic sales. The brand resonated with astrology lovers, spiritual seekers, and conscious consumers looking for jewelry with meaning. The cohesive visual identity and slow-crafted storytelling gave it a strong foundation for future growth.

Key Takeaways

This project reminded me how powerful it can be when brand identity, product design, and storytelling work together in harmony. Every detail was intentional, from the crescent moon logo to the tone of the messaging. It all came together to create a brand that feels deeply personal, grounded, and beautifully aligned.

If you’re creating something with soul and purpose, I’d love to help you bring it to life!
